last year

Chips, chee cheong fun (steamed rice roll) with pork floss and chilli, coffee

Finally did my accounting (i have no choice since income tax filing deadline is very near) and realised that i only worked for about 6 months or less in total last year, mostly from June onwards. Meaning i had been busy with a lot of non-work stuffs. How fun!

one a penny two a penny...

Hot cross bun, coffee

“Hot cross buns! Hot cross buns!
One a penny two a penny, hot cross buns
If you have no daughters, give them to your sons
One a penny two a penny, hot cross buns”

How many of you sang this song when in nursery? i probably didn’t understand... or didn’t bother to think about the meanings for half of the songs that were taught then. Anyway, many of the nursery rhymes have strange lyrics (especially the chinese ones). For example this song, does it mean that if i have daughters, then the sons won’t get to eat it? Or why can’t i eat the buns myself, or give them to my grandma or my friends instead?

Alright ignore me, i was just spouting nonsense and i blame it on my headache.

i just googled this song and guess what? It says on Wikipedia: “this song is performed to summon satan”.
Yeah you’re right.

sweet like ice cream

Curry chicken bun, coffee

i guess if life is just sweet like ice cream, it would be boring and dull. So i would say it’s okay to feel troubled some time... furthermore, if you have not tasted bitterness, you probably wouldn’t know the taste of sweetness after all.

packing

Cookies, coffee

How soon do you usually pack your luggage before going on a trip? Most of the time, i do it one day or the night before unless it’s a place where i’m not sure what to wear and need to do a bit of a planning, and in this case, Brunei. i’m in the midst of packing for Thursday trip, two days in advamce. Not sure how strict the dress code for this islamic country would be... i’ve packed leggings (just in case i’m not supposed to show legs) and a big scarf to cover whatever part i need to cover.
